Digitalization Challenges, Mediterranean University of Albania organize the international conference
The transformation due to digitization and artificial intelligence, their positive impacts, but also the risks and challenges in the near future for society in economic and social terms. These are the main issues being discussed at the two-day international conference, organized by the Mediterranean University of Albania. The President of the Mediterranean University of Albania, Anastas Angjeli, in his speech, emphasized that there are about 100 scientific works which will shed light on the economic, technological, legal, social and humanitarian fields. Linking national, regional and international experience. "Over the next thirty years, it is estimated that up to 50% of all jobs may be replaced by technology. And then what? What will happen when the previously "safe" professions of white-collar professionals such as economics, law and medicine are rendered obsolete by artificial intelligence? Technology certainly makes our lives easier, but does it make them more good? What is happening? Are we prepared for the future that this development is bringing? The task of scientific research is to precede developments in all forms. This Conference is based on this very premise," said Angjeli. Invited to this the conference attended by senior leaders of the Universities and governments of Italy, North Macedonia and Kosovo was also the Minister of Education and Science Evis Kushi. "Are we ready or not, this revolution is happening. We must adapt and take into consideration all the advantages and disadvantages. It is important to respond to these challenges by taking measures to benefit as much as possible while minimizing the risks and uncertainties especially from what we have even less known artificial intelligence. She described the digital agenda as one of the government's priorities. The main panel of the conference was also attended by Shpëtim, Latifi, Advisor for technology and information to the Macedonian Minister of Education, Gaetano Dammacco, from "Aldo Moro" University, Bari, Jusuf Qarkaxhija, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences at the University of Kosovo, Adrian Civici, Rector of the Mediterranean University of Albania and Kozeta Sevrani, member of the Academy of Sciences. All panelists presented their papers and papers at this conference.
