SCHOLARSHIPS AT OUR UNIVERSITY

Pursuant to the Decision of the Board of Administration, the "Mediterranean University of Albania" grants scholarships to different categories of applicants who want to complete their Bachelor and Master studies.

The categories that will be financed with scholarships of different levels are as follows:

SCHOLARSHIP FOR PROGRAMS BSC

CATEGORY 1 - Full funding

a. SOCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS Benefit scholarships with full funding for up to 1% of first-time enrolled students, including applicants from groups in need (families with very high and average economic assistance, orphan status, children of police martyrs, in the forces of armed, with different abilities, marginalized communities, etc. similar).

b. EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS Benefit with full funding up to 3% of first time enrolled students with an average of 9.7-10 from high school.

c. CONTINUING STUDENTS - after the first year with an average above 9.7 and with unfavorable economic conditions, they benefit from full financing of the annual fee.

CATEGORY 2 - Fee 600 Euros

a. Very good students benefit up to 1% of all first-time enrolled students where the high school average is from 9.3 to 9.6 and with unfavorable economic conditions.

b. TALENT SCHOLARSHIPS will be accepted up to 2% of prominent applicants in competitions, competitions or various arts, science and sports organizations & prominent representatives of youth organizations.

CATEGORY 3 Fee 1200 Euro

a. Up to 1% of all students enrolled for the first time where the high school average is from 9.0 to 9.2 with unfavorable economic conditions.

CATEGORY 4 - Fee 1600 Euro

a. SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS will be accepted up to 3% of students with relatively low incomes, groups that are not included in category 1 of this decision.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MASTER PROGRAMS

CATEGORY 5 - Fee 600 Euros

a. 3% of applicants benefit from groups in need (families with economic assistance and very good results, orphan status, children of martyrs, (police, armed forces) with different abilities, marginalized communities, the like, etc.).

KATEGORIA 6  Tarifë 1200 Euro

a. Benefit up to 1% of all students enrolled for the first time where the average grade of bachelor studies is from 9.0 to 10, and with unfavorable economic conditions.

OTHER PREFERENTIAL TARIFFS

a. Students who continue their studies without interruption at MUA from Bsc to Msc will be automatically included in the reduced tuition fee (which does not include the diploma thesis fee) The tuition fee will be 1600 euros per year of study. This group of students does not apply and automatically obtains this right by registering at MUA. 

b. Students from the same family as a former student at MUA. In any case of registration of a second person from the same family the annual fee will automatically be 1600 Euros per year. This group is subject to the application process.

c. Family students with internal staff of MUA -

1. For all members of the internal staff, a direct family member will have a quota of 600 Euros and every other member of the first family level will have a quota of 1,200 Euros per year. This group is subject to the application process.

2. Internal lecturers of MUA pay a fee of 600 euros to attend no more than 1 (one) second study program. This right is enabled only for a study program. This group does not apply but acquires this right directly by registering at MUA.

3. The non-academic staff of MUA receives a full scholarship to attend a first bachelor and master study program. This group does not apply but directly benefits from this right by registering at MUA.

4. For all other applications outside this decision, a full fee will be paid for each study program at MUA.

d. Other preferential fees which are not described in the above points, students can benefit fee up to 1400 euros. 

OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS

a. Full or partial scholarships previously awarded in various activities. The cost of which will be included in the marketing costs.

b. Beneficiaries of scholarships according to the agreements concluded between MUA and other institutions, receive a fee of 1500 euros.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DOCUMENTS BSC PROGRAMS

CATEGORY 1 

Social scholarship

According to the specific case 

  • ID
  • Family certificate
  • Document if the family members are unemployed declared in the employment office.
  • Document if the family members are beneficiaries of economic assistance payments, etc.
  • Statement of income from E-albania of the previous year and from QKB if there is a family business.
  • Other documents that the commission deems reasonable as reports in case of disability, orphanhood, martyrdom status, in case of disability - relevant evidence.

Marginalized groups

  • Certification from the relevant association and from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
  • State Matura diploma (scanned)
  • Grade certificate and ETCS issued by the UMSH Teaching Secretariat.

CATEGORY 2

  • State Matura diploma (scanned)
  • In the case of applicants in this category, evidence obtained in competitions, competitions or participation in various organizations in selected leadership positions must be submitted. It is earned year after year if it continues results every year otherwise it only gets the year it achieved the results. In the case of prominent representatives of youth organizations, a certificate of position and activity in the organization accompanied by other evidence of this role. 

CATEGORY 3

  • State Matura diploma (scanned)

CATEGORY 4

In the case of families in severe economic need, the following will be stated:

  • ID
  • Family certificate
  • Document if the family members are unemployed declared in the employment office.
  • Document if the family members are beneficiaries of economic assistance payments, etc.
  • Statement of income from E-albania of the previous year and from QKB if there is a family business. 

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DOCUMENTS MASTER PROGRAMS

CATEGORY 5

According to the specific case

  • Family certificate
  • ID
  • Document if the family members are unemployed declared in the employment office.
  • Document if the family members are beneficiaries of economic assistance payments, etc.
  • Statement of income from E-albania of the previous year and from QKB if there is a family business.
  • Other documents that the commission deems reasonable as reports in case of disability, orphanhood, martyr status, in the case of other disabilities - the relevant evidence. 

Marginalized groups

  • Certification from the relevant association and from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

CATEGORY 6

  • Bachelor's degree supplement / Certificate of completion with grades and grade point average issued by the Teaching Secretariat.
  • Family certificate
  • Document if the family members are unemployed declared in the employment office.
  • Document if the family members are beneficiaries of economic assistance payments, etc.
  • Statement of income from E-albania of the previous year and from QKB if there is a family business.

PROTECTION OF SCHOLARSHIP RIGHTS

Every scholarship recipient retains this right for the entire study cycle if it maintains the same conditions at the time of its acquisition. It also retains this right and if it results in attendance higher than 90% of the teaching process, pays the teaching obligations within the academic year including the regular and intermediate or autumn seasons, implements the code of ethics, and responds to requests for engagements. required by UMSH, without hindering them in the learning process. Exceptions are made in cases of extraordinary conditions judged as such by the Commission.
