Preparatory Language Courses for the 2025–2026 Academic Year at the Mediterranean University of Albania

In line with its mission to enhance the quality of teaching and learning and to facilitate access to study programs delivered in foreign languages, the Mediterranean University of Albania (UMSH) is pleased to announce the launch of its Preparatory Language Courses for the 2025/2026 academic year. Courses will be offered in English, German, French, Italian, and Arabic, and will be conducted over a period of three months during July, August, and September of 2025 in their first round continuing to be organized on a rolling, cyclical basis throughout the entire 2025/2026 academic year.

The objectives of these courses are to:

  • Prepare prospective students who intend to apply for academic programs requiring foreign language proficiency at a specified level, in accordance with the applicable legal framework;
  • Equip students seeking admission to study programs offered in a foreign language at UMSH;
  • Support students planning to pursue academic studies abroad;
  • Strengthen skills in the use and comprehension of contemporary academic literature in a foreign language;

The courses will be structured across different proficiency levels (B1, B2, C1), in accordance with the standards set by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The organization of language proficiency assessments will be carried out by the designated structures, as defined by the applicable regulatory acts, and will be conducted according to an official calendar jointly coordinated with the University.
