“ARISTOTEL PANO” LIBRARY - UMSH

The “Aristotel Pano” Library was created at the same time as the Mediterranean University of Albania. In addition to the Central Library on the central campus, the Library at the Faculty of Medicine also operates.

The UMSH Library Fund is rich and is constantly enriched mainly through purchases, subscriptions, as well as various gifts to the Library.

The Library’s literature is in function of the academic fields and programs of study.

In 2021, the online catalog of UMSH collections was created, which would later include and register any of its other materials in a common catalog through the COBISS system.

The Library has improved its services, especially with the enrichment of the electronic collection and electronic resources with the possibility of searching and using them by our pedagogical staff and students, this has been made possible thanks to our cooperation with the Library of the Academy of Sciences of Albania.

1. INFORMATION SERVICES

To help its users, the library organizes scientific training as well as for the library's online catalog. Thus, at the beginning of the new academic year, it holds a conversation with first-year students and provides them with access and helps users in finding and using the library's literature.

Information for our readers, students & teaching staff about physical literature in the Library (we offer assistance & suggest to our students in selecting the literature they need for their studies.

2. PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

The Library is a member of COBISS, at the same time we participate in all activities that COBISS organizes, seminars, training courses and professional qualification for scientific classification processes and cataloging library units and acquiring and using the latest innovations and services in the Library.

Also, in all online activities that COBISS organizes such as Conferences or Congresses, our library participates. The library participates and promotes UMSH-Press publications in the book fair that is organized every year.
