Isolated, but together in the virtual classrooms of the Mediterranean University of Albania

How is the online learning going since March 16?

The Mediterranean University of Albania under the motto "Isolated but together", immediately adapts to the situation of suspension of teaching in the auditorium by focusing this process through virtual classes, which were put into full operation for all subjects, since March 16, 2020.

This transformation of the teaching method was easily accomplished, considering the fact that for 10 years the Mediterranean University of Albania (MUA) is part of G-suite education, thus being familiar with this platform and easily moving to virtual classes in Google classroom and Google meet.

Everything has continued to be organized as a normal academic routine, including not only teaching, but also all other functions of MUA and administrative offices such as secretariat, library, on-line library, by means of which not only lecturers can communicate but also students. The groups of lectures and seminars fully develop the planned curriculum for the second semester; meanwhile the participation of students in seminars /exercises, lectures and the engagement of lecturers is completely evidenced.

The Student Council is maximally committed to informing all students and sharing all the necessary information in the communication groups set up for this purpose.

A series of coordinated academic events have made this structure successful in the face of a national natural disaster.

The Rector of the Mediterranean University of Albania, Academician, Prof. Gudar Beqiraj states that the purpose of these issued orders was of several directions. Firstly, it has to do with the continuation of the academic process for students, which is our constant priority. Secondly, their social engagement in a difficult time for their age with prolonged isolation, and thirdly, maintaining a continuous open communication network between the entire academic structure in their wide involvement in the entire educational and scientific process.

MUA will continue with other innovations in the coming days to make the situation easier for everyone, but also to be together although isolated.
