Internationalization

The Mediterranean University of Albania, started the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in June 2022, between the University and the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Cultural Foundation based in Kuwait.

The activity of this Foundation, chaired by Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, is focused on creating a culture of peace, especially in the Arab and Mediterranean context, on the relationship between Arab civilization and culture and European one. Furthermore, it aims at stipulating cooperation and mutual recognition among academicians, scholars touching upon academic, cultural, social, and media aspects, but not only.

For this purpose, the "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Center just for Peace" was founded in the Mediterranean University of Albania, and an Academic Board chaired by Prof. Dr. Academician Anastas Angjeli, President of the Mediterranean University of Albania, will supervise the activities of this chair.

The cooperation between the "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair only for Peace" at the Mediterranean  University of Albania and the Albabtain Cultural Foundation will be extend in the field of curricula, teaching and education, cultural activities, with the aim of mutual promotion of Arab-Albanian culture and history, through various activities organized in the premises of the university and in Tirana city.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by Academician Anastas Angjeli and the Chairman of the Albabtain Foundation Mr. AbdulazizSaud Albabtain, foresees the translation of books from Arabic to Albanian, the increasing of contacts between students and academic staff, publications and mutual promotions, through joint meetings, activities and the organization of the Arab culture day within the academic year 2022- 23.

Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Cici, Prorector of MUA, is the director of this chair in close cooperation with Professor TouhamiAbdouli, Secretary General of the Foundation, former Foreign Minister of Tunisia. Professor Touhami has an academic experience and deep knowledge of international relations and culture for peace in the Mediterranean area, in the Arab world, and not only.

Moreover, the establishment of this chair aims to build bridges of communication between academicians and through them between societies, for "a culture of peace". This chair will encourage and promote, not only university exchanges and academic, but it will also strengthen relations between two peoples and two countries, between Albania and Kuwait.
