The ceremony of promotion of the book "Reflections for a Just Peace" of the author Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain, translated from Arabic to Albanian  was attended by ambassadors of Arab countries accredited in Albania, Albanian academics and scientists, representatives of official institutions, civil society, and media, as well as students from the Mediterranean University and beyond.

Mr.Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain is a prominent figure in the Middle East region and the Arab world, an academic, distinguished thinker, and poet from the State of Kuwait. He is also one of the distinguished personalities to whom MUA has awarded the title "Doctor Honoris Causa". The Academic Board of the "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for a Just Peace" is chaired by Prof. Dr. Academic Anastas Angjeli, Founder, and President of the Mediterranean University of Albania.

During the promotion, the President of the Mediterranean University of Albania, Prof. Dr. Academic Anastas Angjeli, emphasized that the author, Abdulaziz Saud-Albabtein, is part of the Mediterranean University of Albania family. "This book and the messages it conveys contain universal values which are relevant at all times, but especially in current situations, such as the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, where everyone desires peace and justice. One of the main principles of the book is that 'Just peace is education and enlightenment.' Therefore, as a university, we must be ambassadors of peace," said Angjeli.

Mrs. Artemis Malo, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, appreciated the messages of the book, emphasizing that in the current global situation, there is still much to be done by all actors to promote a culture of peace. "Peace should not be a word but an action," said the Deputy Minister.

MUA Rector, Prof. Dr. Adrian Civici, appreciated the publication of this book in Albanian, stressing that its message is always relevant and should be read carefully and distributed in academic and social circles in Albania and beyond.

The Director of "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for a Just Peace," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arben Cici, emphasized that with the publication of this book, the Chair he leads and the Mediterranean University of Albania have become bearers and conveyors of the mission for a Just Peace through its integration into academic and educational policies, as well as activities that transcend the university and Albania.

This Chair remains an important link in promoting and strengthening relations between Albania and the State of Kuwait, especially in the academic and university fields, highlighted the Director of the "Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Chair for a Just Peace," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arben Cici.

“This is only the first book of UMSH-PRESS publications, and we will continue to translate into Albanian and publish other works by Mr. Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain," concluded Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cici.

The heads of Arab diplomatic missions from the countries of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, and Qatar were present at the event. They described it as a very important occasion, expressing their readiness for further cooperation with the Mediterranean University of Albania to continue strengthening the brotherly relations between Albania and the countries they represent.
