Joint doctoral programs with the Italian University, the cooperation agreement is signed

The Mediterranean University of Albania signs the cooperation agreement with the University of Tuscia in Italy. This agreement was signed between the Rector of MUA, Prof. Adrian Civici and the Rector of UNITUS Prof. Stefano Ubertini, who conducted the online meeting due to the situation caused by Covid 19. During this meeting the two Rectors discussed and agreed on the development of cooperation between the two universities. More specifically, the cooperation, in addition to exchanges under the Erasmus + program, focused on the creation of Double Master's Degrees in the fields of economics, law, and social sciences. Also, the two Rectors agreed on the creation of a joint program of the 3rd cycle doctoral studies in the field of economic sciences. For this purpose, working groups have been set up in both universities to concretize these points where for the Albanian side are currently led by Deputy Rector PhD. Nikollaq Pano and the Director of Foreign Relations Elton Skendaj, while for the Italian side by the Rector's advisor Prof. Simone Severini and Director of Foreign Relations Carlo Contardo. On the other hand, from the University of Tuscia it was proposed that both universities organize joint scientific conferences and summer schools with the participation of students and academic staffs from both universities, which will are largely funded by the Erasmus + program. This program will enable exchanges between professors, where professors from the University of Tuscia will come to give lectures at the Mediterranean University and vice versa, where MUA professors will give lectures in Italy. Likewise, with the creation of conditions at the end of the pandemic, senior management and organizational structures will conduct working visits.
