The "Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Center for a Just Peace" at the Mediterranean University of Albania holds open lecture
As part of the "Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Center for a Just Peace" activities, an open lecture was organized at the Mediterranean University of Albania, with Professor Ermir Gjinishi.
The director of the center, Prof. Ass. Dr. Arben Cici, after elaborating on the importance of the establishment of this center at MUA invited Professor Gjinishi to speak about his special experience as a former student of Arabic Language, Literature, and Theology at the University of Tripoli, Libya, and his perspective on history and the rich culture of the Mediterranean countries and peoples.
Professor Gjinishi is a lecturer at the Institute of European Studies of the University of Tirana. He is a specialist in religious issues, security, international relations, and terrorism, and has been invited as a lecturer at various conferences in Albania and abroad, and has published studies and scientific articles on these important issues.
Professor Gjinishi, during his lecture, focused on the importance of knowing the history of the Mediterranean, that of the Arab world, and the language and culture of Arabs, as well as its influence on the northern shores of the Mediterranean to the center of Europe.
The historical contacts and connections between Albanians and Arab countries, at different times, serve us to better know the differences and closeness, and to understand the importance of education with the culture of peace and its construction at the local, regional, and global level, emphasized the Professor Gjinishi in his word.
The open lecture was followed with great interest, while questions and comments ensued from the lecturers and students who participated in this activity.
