In his speech, Prof. Dr. Anastas Angjeli highlighted that the Covid-19 pandemic showed how important cooperation, solidarity, and overcoming political, economic, and social divisions when health is at stake, the most precious thing for every inhabitant of this planet.

"Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is a leader with incontrovertible integrity and a high - imposing moral authority. He used this authority to stand above the parties and maintained balances, advanced a noble mission, and managed to do the best in one of the most hazardous moments that humanity has gone through in the last 100 years - Angjeli stated. He added that the help that the World Health Organization has given, especially to small countries such as Albania, during the pandemic period and beyond, has been essential for the reform of the health system as well as for overcoming the emergency created by the pandemic.

After receiving the title, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said; he felt honored for this appreciation and emphasized that Covid-19 turned the world upside down, going beyond a health emergency, destroying societies, economies, and political stability.” First, I can emphasize that this pandemic left us with a crucial message: Health begins and ends with the community. Moreover, global threats require a global response, accordingly, the WHO has supported all the countries since they joined in this battle. The most important lesson is that equity is fundamental to global health security. Finally, thank you again for the honor. I would like to congratulate MUA on opening the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
