The Mediterranean University of Albania (MUA) is participating in the General Assembly of UNIMED Members, which is being held at Aydin University in Istanbul, Turkey. The Union of Mediterranean Universities (UNIMED) is an academic network that includes the largest grouping of universities from Mediterranean countries. It promotes international cooperation in education and scientific research, facilitating and strengthening relations between the academic institutions of member countries in the Mediterranean Cooperation. UNIMED aims to enhance the mobility of students and academic staff, as well as facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices among participating universities.

This meeting serves as an excellent platform to discuss projects in various fields of international academic cooperation for higher education institutions and to increase and expand partnerships in addressing current common development challenges.

Within the framework of cooperation in the UNIMED network, students have the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary projects that promote cultural and academic exchange between Mediterranean countries. These projects encompass research in areas such as sustainable development, technology, health, and cultural heritage, allowing students to share knowledge with colleagues from different universities in the region. Additionally, these initiatives provide valuable cross-cultural experiences, enhancing students' career prospects in an increasingly integrated global market.
