The Artificial Intelligence Project (LAIA). A meeting between partners takes place at the Mediterranean University of Albania

The meeting of the partners of the LAIA Project LAIA (Laboratories of Artificial Intelligence in Albania and Kosovo), funded by the European Union, is taking place at the Mediterranean University of Albania. This project aims to promote innovation and improve education in the field of Artificial Intelligence through international cooperation and knowledge exchange. Present at this meeting were representatives from Greece, Denmark, and Kosovo. In his welcoming speech, the Pro-Rector of the Mediterranean University, Arben Cici, welcomed the attendees, emphasizing that thanks to this project, opportunities are being created for students to gain knowledge, skills and practical experience in one of the most transformative fields of our time, such as Artificial Intelligence. “By working together, we are ensuring that the next generation is well prepared to face the challenges and seize the opportunities of the digital age in which we live today. This moment shows the power of international cooperation and the importance of sharing knowledge across borders by advancing artificial intelligence in the field of education and empowering our students to create solutions that will help build a brighter future for all of us”, said Cici. The Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Biotechnology of the University of Piraeus, Greece, Prof. Dr Ilia Magloiannis, praised this partnership, also guaranteeing the technical leadership of the University of Piraeus to share experience in this field through the management of this project. The Rector of the University of Elbasan, Prof. Dr. Elvira Fetahu, also praised this project as an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence, for students and academic staff. The partners then made presentations on what has been achieved so far in the LAIA project and emphasized the objectives of the future.
