Mediterranean University opens two new professional master's programs in the field of education.

Mediterranean University of Albania will offer two new professional master’s programs in the field of education during this academic year. In line with the needs of the labor market, the following programs will be offered for the first time:

  • Professional Master in “Teaching for Primary Education”
  • Professional Master in “Teaching for Special Education”

These programs were presented during a roundtable discussion on the topic: “Education Facing Development Challenges – How the Labor Market is Influencing the Development of Education Professionals.” The event was attended by senior representatives of UMSH, the academic staff of the Faculty of Human Sciences, teachers, and representatives of state institutions.

The launch of these two programs is a direct response to the current needs of the Albanian education system, which urgently requires well-trained, dedicated, and professional teachers, especially in the most critical stages of children’s development.

Primary Education:

At a time when basic education is facing major challenges, such as the shortage of qualified teachers, curriculum changes, and the demand for new teaching methodologies, the Professional Master in Primary Education aims to prepare teachers who not only possess contemporary pedagogical knowledge, but are also capable of creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for the full development of children.

Special Education:

Meanwhile, the Professional Master in Special Education comes as a necessity in a system that is increasingly recognizing the importance of inclusive education. The number of children with special needs is growing, while the lack of qualified staff remains one of the main obstacles to their inclusion and equal development in schools and society. This program aims to prepare professionals capable of identifying, supporting, and leading the educational process of these students with high competence and sensitivity.
