The Mediterranean University of Albania as a contributor to the Global Forum for the Culture of Peace

The President of the Mediterranean Academic University Prof. Dr. Anastas Angjeli, and some other leaders of the University, invited by "Abdulaziz Saud AlBabtain" Cultural Foundation, participated in the second edition of the World Forum for Culture of Peace “Leadership for Just Peace" that took place in Malta on March 3-4, 2022 under the auspices of President George Vella and the Abdulaziz Saud Albabtain Foundation.

The participants during the two-day forum aimed at exploring and restoring institutional mechanisms, educational programs, and tools for developing leadership competencies to achieve fair peace and sustainable stability for the people.

The participants in this forum were Presidents from several countries, including the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the President of Malta, George Vella, the President of Albania, Mr. Ilir Meta, the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, the Former President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait Mr. Marzouq Ali Mohammed Al-Ghanim, the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Anglu Farrugia, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Estonia Hanno Pevkur, the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of the Arab Countries, the Rector of the University of Malta Alfred Vella, some academics from the countries of the region, MEPs, local politicians, etc.

In this forum, all participants accentuated the power of dialogue, and that peace cannot be taken for granted.

Moreover, they stated that just peace can be achieved with the participation of world leaders and institutions on the international level. The participants during the two-day forum aimed at exploring and restoring institutional mechanisms, educational programs, and tools for developing leadership competencies to achieve fair peace and sustainable stability for the people.
