Mediterranean University and the U2SID Erasmus-EDU-2022-CBHE Project: A Significant Contribution to Digital Transformation in the Western Balkans
The Mediterranean University is one of the partner institutions in the U2SID Erasmus-EDU-2022-CBHE project, an initiative themed “University to Society Collaborations for Inclusive Digital Transformation in the Western Balkans.” This innovative project aimed to strengthen collaboration between universities and society, fostering a favorable ecosystem for inclusive digital transformation in the Western Balkans.
The participation of the Mediterranean University in this project demonstrates its commitment to the development of digital technologies and the involvement of local stakeholders in modernization and innovation processes. Through this collaboration, the university has played a crucial role in developing new methodologies for education, scientific research, and the integration of technology into public administration and the private sector.
One of the highlights of this project was the final conference, held at “Fan S. Noli” University in Korçë on February 27-28, 2025. This conference served as an important platform for presenting the results achieved during the project's implementation and for sharing experiences among universities and various partners.
The Mediterranean University was represented at this conference by a group of academics and students who contributed directly to the project's success. The team consisted of:

The Mediterranean University, in collaboration with its partners, has contributed to strengthening the capacities of academic staff and students in the field of digital transformation, creating a sustainable model for innovation in the region.
This project has not only strengthened the ties between universities and society but has also served as a crucial step towards building a sustainable digital ecosystem in the Western Balkans. Through these initiatives, the Mediterranean University continues to contribute to the modernization and improvement of higher education, providing new opportunities for students, academics, and professionals across various fields.
