“Boundaries of Human Rights: Dialogue Between Obligations and Freedom”

Today, we are witnessing a growing trend of extreme individualization, manifested in the pursuit of fulfilling individual expectations and needs without considering the welfare of society and the state. However, it is important to remember that in addition to rights, citizens also have obligations to the state.

The conference entitled “Boundaries of Human Rights: Dialogue Between Obligations and Freedom” will focus on the role and responsibility of citizens in upholding and promoting human rights. The aim of the conference is to examine how different aspects of social and legal life affect the relationships between individuals, the state, economic entities, and law enforcement and justice bodies in the context of enforcing fundamental human rights and freedoms.

Scope of Topics:

The conference covers a wide range of topics related to the obligations of people in applying human rights principles in various spheres of life. The main areas of discussion are:

• Citizen-state relations and reciprocal obligations in the field of human rights
• Obligations of individuals to respect human rights in interpersonal relations
• The role of human rights in economic law and the obligations of entrepreneurs
• Obligations of law enforcement and criminal justice bodies in the context of human rights
